French Presidents receive gifts in the course of their duties. These gifts are available to them when traveling for state visits, or during special ceremonies, summit meetings, celebrations or anniversaries.
Objects or pieces of art, rare or curious, these donations are highly varied. Jacques Chirac decided to offer them to the General Council of Corrèze. Recipient of gifts during his presidency, President Jacques Chirac turned himself into a donator, through this collection that includes more than 5,000 objects and 17,000 books.
